Terung jenis ni boleh dibuat berjenis2 masakan juga.Goreng biasa2,goreng cili,masak lemak cili padi dgn.ikan atau udang.Kalau dibakar,rasanya manis dan dapat melawan bau petai InsyaAllah dan tak la busuk sangat bilik air tu nanti.
Remembering elementary school days when this vege was known to me as brinjal. Later when going through some recipes I discovered that it’s also known as egg-plant and aubergine.

  • Terung dipotong kecil2. Cut up the brinjals into small pieces.
  • 1 genggam cili kering.Buang biji dan potong pendek. Rebus sebentar(utk lembutkan) dan mesin. A handful of dried chillies.Remove seeds and cut short. Boil for awhile (to softened)and blend.

  • Tumis bawang putih (3 ulas) hingga kuning keemasan. Fry 3 pips of garlic till golden brown.
  • Masukkan cili kering yang telah dimesin. Add in the blended dried chillies.
  • Goreng hingga cili masak dan berminyak.Masukkan 1 senduk sos cili.Kacau sebati.Masukkan gula dan garam sesedap rasa.(boleh masukkan udang atau sotong /kami terlupa beli) Fry till the chillies are cooked and oily.Add in 1 ladle of chilly sauce.Stir thoroughly.Add salt and sugar to taste.(can add in prawns or squids/we forgot to buy the prawns)
  •  Masukkan hirisan terung dan bawang besar.Tambah sedikit air dan kacau sehingga terung masak dan kuah pekat. Add slices of brinjals and onions.Add in some water and stir till brinjals are cooked and gravy thickens.

 

Alhamdulillah . Ready to be served.  Alhamdulillah … siap untuk dihidang.
