Asam pedas biji ketumbar

Dapat resipi ni daripada mak mentua (arwah)– {Al-Faatihah} suatu ketika dulu. Encik suami suka sangat.Obtained this recipe from late mother in-law. Mr hubby loves this dish so much.

  • 1 genggam cili kering dibuang biji dan direbus sehingga kembang.1 handful of dried chillies,remove seeds and bring to the boil.
  • 1 cb beras dibasuh bersih. 1 tbsp rice grains,washed.
  • 1 cb biji ketumbar dibasuh. 1 tbsp of coriander seeds,washed.
  • Kisar cili kering,bawang besar (1 biji),beras,biji ketumbar dan sedikit belacan. Blend the dried chillies,1 onion, rice grains, coriander seeds and some prawn paste.

  • Sedikit asam keping,cukup untuk memasamkan masakan. Some Malabar tamarind,enough to sour the dish.
  • 1 biji timun dihiris tebal. 1 cucumber,cut into big slices.

  • Rebus naik daun kesom/cenenghom,asam keping dan cili mesin. Boil together the blended chillies, Vietnam mint and Malabar tamarind.
  • Bila cili telah masak,masukkan hirisan timun dan biar hingga timun lembut. Masukkan ikan pari dan biar hingga ikan masak .  Masukkan garam secukup rasa. When the chillies are cooked, add in the slices of cucumber. Let the cucumber softened and add in the stingray.Let the fish cooked through.Add in salt to taste.
  • 5 – 6 ketul ikan pari.Ada seorang mak cik bagi tahu,ikan ketul biar dipotong kecil2 supaya kuah boleh serap ke dalam isi ikan. 5 – 6 pieces of stingray.An elderly friend had given a tip on cooking fish; using smaller pieces of the fish enables the gravy to seep into it better.

Alhamdulillah….. the dish is ready.  Alhamdulillah….. dah siap.(hiasan tiru CMG)
